My name is Stephen Davies and I am a self-employed Conservator and Restorer of antique furniture. Based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire for 22 years, having moved home, I am now in the process of setting up a workshop based in The New Forest, Hampshire.
I completed my training with Bruce Luckhurst at The Little Surrenden Workshops in Kent, 2003. I have also trained in the restoration of modern furniture finishes with Konig UK. In addition, I have attended numerous training sessions and seminars.
Whilst carrying out the majority of my projects for private clients, I have also worked for a number of prestigious companies. Discretion is always assured.

Recent Projects
A post-war, two-over-two oak chest of drawers which had suffered terribly at the hands of disrespectful tenants. Of great sentimental family value, the chest top needed to be stripped, bleached, French Polished and waxed.
An American wall clock which arrived in pieces in a bin liner, having lived in a chicken shed. Now fully restored including newly-crafted marquetry, veneering, artificial ageing and French Polishing.
